The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions to the community.
SASSA is going to be rendering solutions which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency reported it really is alarmed with regard to the significant number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The goal in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme sassa status [ICROP] is to reach-out to a superior amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This can be due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no thoroughly functional office dedicated to service the area daily. The service place designed for intervention experiences a superior influx of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it hard to the Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more resources to enable the servicing of all buyers and boost usage of Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
